Volkswagen Group Malaysia provides the information services presented here on the basis of these general Conditions of Use of the Volkswagen Group Malaysia Websites.

1. Notice in accordance with Directive 1999/94/EC regarding fuel consumption and CO2 emissions

2. Delivery of information services and related guarantees
Information contained on these websites has been compiled by Volkswagen Group Malaysia in a conscientious and thorough manner applying the due diligence, and attains 97.5 % availability on a yearly average. The information given is non-binding. Volkswagen Group Malaysia provides no guarantee as to the results that can be obtained by using the information given, in particular with regard to its accuracy, currency and completeness, or in respect of whether the quality of information meets your needs and wishes. Any vehicle-related data and information presented on the websites of Volkswagen Group Malaysia should be considered as representing approximations. 7. Acceptance of cookies
Volkswagen Group Malaysia places cookies on your computer when you visit our websites. You can determine the extent to which cookies are enabled or disabled by means of settings on your computer (usually in your Web browser, such as Internet Explorer; for more details refer to the Technical Requirements section). 8. Links to websites of Volkswagen Group Malaysia
It is permissible to place hyperlinks to the home pages of Volkswagen websites, such as www.volkswagen.com.my, provided the link causes the target page to be fully refreshed without being placed in a frame and is notified to Volkswagen Group Malaysia within 24 hours of being placed by means of an e-mail to info@volkswagen.com.my. Furthermore, the hyperlink must be clearly identified as such on the source page by use of the phrase "Link to Volkswagen Group Malaysia" or the name of the Volkswagen Group Malaysia target web page in conjunction with the phrase "Link to Volkswagen Group Malaysia". Links not conforming to this rule must be approved by Volkswagen Group Malaysia prior to being set. Volkswagen Group Malaysia reserves the right to forbid links to be placed, notwithstanding compliance with the above rule.

9. Liability
Volkswagen Group Malaysia accepts liability for cases of intent or gross negligence, in accordance with the Malaysian Product Liability Act, and for guarantees expressly given by Volkswagen Group Malaysia. In cases of minor negligence Volkswagen Group Malaysia accepts liability only in the event of infringement of an essential obligation, whereby the sum of any related claims for damages is limited to the extent of the foreseeable loss.

10. Security in transmission of messages to Volkswagen Group Malaysia
In view of the technical structure of the Internet, if you wish to send an e-mail from your private e-mail account to Volkswagen Group Malaysia you must take your own security precautions in order to maintain the confidentiality and integrity of your e-mail's content, by using standard commercially available encryption software for example.

If you wish to send an e-mail directly from the Volkswagen Group Malaysia contact zone, you should be aware that your data will be transmitted unencrypted and so no guarantee can be given as to the confidentiality and integrity of your e-mail's content.

11. Changes to the scope of performance and to the Conditions of Use
Volkswagen Group Malaysia reserves the right to expand or reduce the service provided, or modify its functionality, in whole or in part, at any time. The rapid development of the Internet makes it necessary for us to amend these Conditions of Use from time to time. Please refer to the latest applicable version of the Conditions of Use in this respect.

12. Choice of law
The use of services and these Conditions of Use are subject to Malaysian law, with the exception of the conflict of laws provisions contained in it.

Data Protection Declaration
We are pleased that you are visiting our websites and would like to thank you for your interest in our company, our products and our websites. Your privacy when using our websites is important to us. Consequently, we would ask you to take note of the following information:

1. Anonymous data collection
You may, as a matter of principle, visit the Volkswagen Group Malaysia websites without telling us who you are. We are notified merely of the name of your Internet Service Provider, the website from which you accessed our site, and which of our website pages you visit. This information is evaluated for statistical purposes. Your anonymity as an individual user is preserved.

2. Collection and processing of personal data
Personal details are only collected if you provide them to us, such as to execute a contract, in response to a survey, or when registering for personalised services.
When you register for Volkswagen personalised services, provided you give your consent your registration details will be processed for the purposes of promotion and market research and to provide needs-oriented design of electronic services. Moreover, if you give your consent the information called up by you on your visit to the Volkswagen portals will be used to construct a user profile, in order to provide you with specially tailored promotional offers.
This data is transmitted in encrypted form, in order to prevent misuse by third parties. Your data is processed within Malaysia.

3. Use and distribution of personal data
Without your consent to other use, the personal data collected on the websites of Volkswagen Group Malaysia will be used only for contract execution and handling of your enquiries. Additionally, if you have given your consent, your data will also be used for promotional and market research purposes and for the design of needs-oriented electronic services from Volkswagen Group Malaysia. Any use of personal data for the delivery of tailored promotional offers will also be made only if you have given your consent.
As consent to use your data for the above purposes may involve the transmission of your data to the companies of the Volkswagen Group and the Volkswagen partners (dealers and service centres) selected by you, your data may also be passed on to those parties.
